Elon Musk said that X would charge a small amount as a monthly subscription fee from every user. Elon Musk is making many chances to X (Twitter) such as changing the name from Twitter to X, changing the bird logo to X logo, premium payments, and more. And the main goal of Elon Musk is to give every possible feature on one platform. He is planning to give audio and video call features too.

Why Does X Charge Subscription Fee For Everyone?

At present, X charges a subscription fee for premium features such as editing a post, and more. The premium payment starts at $8 per month or $84 per year.

But now X is planning to charge a small amount of subscription fee for every user. This is to cut off the bot accounts in X. This will avoid bot accounts. If a user creates a bit account, they have to pay for it too. So the creation of bot accounts will be cut off automatically.

There 100 to 200 million posts are shared in a day. Some of them are bad, and X now has 550 million monthly users and many of them may be bot accounts. So the monthly subscription will automatically eliminate the bot or software-automated accounts in the platform.

Elon Musk said about this monthly subscription plan in a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. This meeting was streamed live.
