Jump Ahead

The jump ahead is one of the features in the list of YouTube new premium features. The Jump Ahead YouTube feature is now available to the premium users of Android in the US. It enables users to go to the best part of the video. By double-tapping, users will see a jump ahead option, when they click on jump ahead, they will go to the best part of the video. The best part of the video is decided by the combination of views data and AI.

Picture-in-Picture Feature for Shorts

The picture-in-picture feature is also available to Android users in the US. It will be available soon to iOS users. It enables users to multitask while watching YouTube shorts. Users can now see the YouTube shorts video in the minimized floating window.

Experimental Features

There are three experimental features in a list of ‘YouTube new premium features’. The Smart Downloads, Conversational AI, and Redesigned Watch Page features are the experimental features.

Smart Downloads

This Smart Download feature will download a fresh batch of shorts and those downloaded shorts will be available on your smartphone. You can watch the downloaded shorts offline.

Conversational AI

The Conversational AI feature allows users to ask questions while playing a video on playback. This Conversational AI can suggest related videos and provide answers. This can be accessed by tapping on the ‘Ask’ option.

Redesigned Watch Page

YouTube is designing a new watch page to increase user experience. That allows users to find related content and also engage with comments easily.
